workout thoughts 03

be the kindness in the world.

appreciate new cultures but don't let them define you. assimilate it.

when you help a total stranger they know nothing about you. you are simply a character to them that came out of the wild world to come and help them. you may not see yourself as an 'angel' or a soldier of God watching over them. that is how ripple effects of kindness spread and seeds are planted in others. because they KNOW just how awesome it feels and they will psychologically want to give that to someone else because it is too great to keep for themselves. so uplifting. so kind.

flex your mental muscles, work them out as much as you do your physical. you can only grow spiritually when your most tangible body and mind and able to be mended by your will.

i see HUGE similarities between the yearly Passion gathering and music festivals all around the world. i would have to guess a lot of people like myself only go to one music festival a year and for this case i'm going to say that most people going to passion go to this big worship as the only one of the year. a weird feeling was the feeling post-church retreat. everyone was on such a spiritual high and felt like they had changed forever. vowing to do Good in the world. but it was always short lived. i would have to guess that post-passion is similar. music festivals are different in that instead of worshiping God they 'worship' music and their favorite artists. nothing wrong with that. music festivals generate a similar environment as retreats with things such as acceptance, no judgment (supposedly for both), and just kindness. there is a stigma stuck with music festivals as just junkies who only go for the drugs. well sure, maybe but most snap out of it and go along with their regular lives (this could be disregarded for EDM concerts/festivals because people have such a STRONG connection to MDMA it's hard to discern love for the music in comparison to love for Molly). like i was saying, they go on with their regular lives afterwards but as much as i've seen what i like to call   'Molly Zombies' i've witnessed the same within christians. no where near as bad since molly is a drug but people chase that same spiritual high going from retreat to retreat. i'd have to say the christian way better fosters better chances of a good person. this is me being bitter again. i'm going to stop. who am i to judge. then again this is my blog, my opinion and i'll be the first to say i'm not perfect. i deserve no pity.
