Conversation with a semi-stranger.

So, yesterday I was talking to a person on Facebook from about 10 P.M. until about 7 A.M. At first we just had some small talk but some events occurred and changed the whole mood of the conversation. One topic we touched on was about was behavior vs. personality. I struggle with this at times since it's hard to discern the difference between the two. Do we act the way we do because it's simply who we are or should we control how we act according to our behavior? Has some similar problems as nature vs. nurture. Which comes first? Personality or behavior? How we were raised or simply how our genetic makeup causes us to act? Chicken or the egg? Reminded me of the question I raised a while back on whether taking medication that changes your personality as a side effect makes you a completely different person. Sure you may think you still have control but in the end isn't it the chemicals and signals in our brain that invariably control our actions? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows.

Hehe my dog is sleeping funny. Sometimes, I'll just look my dog straight in the eyes and just sit there trying to wonder what the world must be like to them. I feel sad that they aren't really conscious of the world that is around them. They are subjected to being tied down and being our pets for their whole lives. As much as I enjoy my dog's company, I wish so much more to let him enjoy and understand just how precious everything is. He doesn't know anything besides pee, poop, eat, and play.

Eff I'm sleepy. My dog is staring at me. Good night world.
